Welcome! to my homepage.
I am an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing and Informatics, at University of Louisiana Lafayette. I am also the director of the High Performance Cloud Computing laboratory (HPCC lab) at the school.
Prior to this, I was a post-doctoral associate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Miami (2013-2014), and at Colorado State University respectively (2012-2013). I have completed my PhD at the Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory, at Melbourne University, Australia, under the supervision of Professor Rajkumar Buyya. My PhD thesis was on resource allocation based on Virtual Machine preemption in distributed systems.
I have completed my Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Software Engineering at Ferdowsi University (2006) and Azad University of Mashhad (2003), respectively. From 2006 to 2008, I was a lecturer at the Computer Software Engineering department, at Azad University of Mashhad.
Broadly speaking, my research and technology interests are in Cloud Computing and Big Data areas. In particular, I am interested to research in High Performance Computing, Virtualization, Cloud and Big Data Security, Resource Allocation, and Heterogeneous Distributed systems.
